Patient Success Stories

Real Patients. Real Progress. Back to Doing What They Love.

At Precision Chiropractic and Rehab, every patient comes to us with different goals. For some, it’s getting back to competitive sports. For others, it’s returning to a favorite activity or simply being able to move through everyday life without pain getting in the way.

Our team combines chiropractic care, physical therapy and rehabilitation to develop treatment plans around each patient’s needs and goals.

Here are a few of the patients we’ve had the opportunity to work with and the progress they’ve made along the way.

Patient Success Story:
Nick Gets Back to Mountain Biking and Pain-Free Time With His Daughter

When Nick Berry first came to Precision Chiropractic and Rehab, he was dealing with a shoulder impingement that had progressed to the point where he couldn’t lift his arm over his head. Even picking up his daughter caused pain.

After hearing about Precision from multiple people, Nick made the drive from Hobe Sound to Stuart to get help with his shoulder.

Nick worked with Dr. Kurt Barnhill and Dr. Chelsea Hollingsworth to address his shoulder pain and limited mobility. He was able to regain full range of motion, return to mountain biking and get back to doing the activities he enjoys with his daughter without pain.

In Nick’s Words

“I found Precision Chiropractic and Rehab after multiple people recommended them, and I drove from Hobe Sound to Stuart because they were worth it. I came in with a shoulder impingement that had gotten bad enough I couldn’t lift my arm over my head, and picking up my daughter meant pain every time.

Dr. Kurt Barnhill and Dr. Chelsea Hollingsworth got me back to full range of motion and back on my mountain bike. Now I can do whatever activities I want with my daughter, pain-free.

If you’re in Stuart, Hobe Sound, or anywhere on the Treasure Coast dealing with shoulder pain or an impingement, these are the people to see.”

Patient Success Story:
Eve’s Return From a Hamstring Injury to a Sub-3-Hour Marathon

Eve first came to Dr. Chelsea after racing the Boston Marathon in 2023. At the time, she was dealing with a high hamstring injury and looking to get it under control.

After working with Dr. Chelsea for several months, Eve set her sights on the California International Marathon (CIM) with a goal of running under three hours.

During her training, Eve built up her mileage and set a half-marathon PR. She continued physical therapy and dry needling with Dr. Chelsea along with massage therapy with Marie as she worked toward her goal.

The week of CIM, Eve got sick. She still managed to run a PR of 3:04 but missed the sub-three-hour goal she knew she had in her. Eve decided to take another shot at the Chevron Houston Marathon.

Her hard work and perseverance paid off.

2:58:40 at the Chevron Houston Marathon

Eve broke the three-hour mark and achieved the goal she had been working toward throughout her recovery and training.

The team at Precision Chiropractic and Rehab has enjoyed being a part of Eve’s journey and helping support her as she continues to pursue her running goals.

Patient Success Story:
Max’s Comeback From a Torn Calf to Faster Times on the Track

When Maxum Kornilov first came to Precision Chiropractic and Rehab, he was recovering from a torn calf muscle.

Max worked extensively with Dr. Kurt Barnhill, including Active Release Technique, while Dr. Chelsea Hollingsworth provided rehabilitation exercises to help with his recovery.

He continued coming to Precision as he worked toward his running goals and saw his times improve along the way.

Max went from a 4:38 mile to 4:19 and improved his 800-meter time from 2:00.5 to 1:57.4 over two years.

In Max’s Words

“Dr. Kurt is by far the best active release specialist on the East Coast! I came in around 2 years ago when I tore my calf muscle. He worked extensively on me while his wife, Dr. Chelsea, gave me rehabilitation exercises. They showed me the light I desperately needed during that time.

I continued going to Precision Chiropractic and continued seeing forward progress towards my running goals. Not only are they incredible human beings but incredible doctors.

I went from 4:38 in the mile to 4:19 within 2 years; in the 800 2:00.5 to 1:57.4. If you want someone you can rely on, go see Dr. Kurt. You will not regret it. And most of all he will make you feel like you CAN do it! Thank you Dr. Kurt and Dr. Chelsea for making my career come to life. I would’ve quit ages ago if it wasn’t for all your support!”
